The Mayor of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council, Councillor Nicholas Trimble, hosted a virtual 2021 Mayor’s Community Awards recently where our Founder and Executive Chairman, Adekanmi Abayomi, was announced as a Runner-Up of the Good Samaritan Award 2021 to exemplify his extraordinary concern for others, especially those who are most in need during the COVID-19 pandemic, striving to make the world a better place.

Since the award ceremony was held virtually, Mayor Nicholas Trimble made the effort to visit our office on courtesy call and to present the award to our founder in person. What a pleasant honour to receive Mayor Nicholas Trimble in our office at Townsend Enterprise Park Belfast earlier today. We sincerely do not only appreciate your presence in our office today but also the good laugh and the encouragement.

It was a great moment for us as an organisation that one of us was recognised with such an honour.

Mayor Trimble said “the award is to recognise the valuable work of a volunteer like you, and your outstanding work undertaken in your community across Lisburn Castlereagh during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is our little way of saying thank you for delivering a strong message about the value of helping others and how it helps to strengthen the Lisburn Castlereagh area – connecting residents and communities, reinforcing community spirit, and creating a more cohesive and inclusive society for everyone”.
